The waterproof and dustproof rating for outdoor landscape and garden lighting, such as brick lights, generally depends on the manufacturer's specifications. However, most high-quality outdoor brick lights typically have a high level of protection. Common waterproof and dustproof ratings include:

• IP65: Dust-tight and able to withstand water jets (e.g., heavy rain or strong water sprays). Suitable for use in heavy rain or harsh weather, but not designed for prolonged immersion in water.

• IP66: Fully dust-tight and can endure powerful water jets, making it suitable for heavy rain and extreme weather conditions. This rating is generally ideal for long-term outdoor use.

• IP67: Dust-tight and can withstand short periods of submersion in water (typically up to 1 metre in depth for 30 minutes). Suitable for heavy rain and flood-prone areas, but not for extended underwater exposure.

• IP68: Fully dust-tight and capable of withstanding prolonged submersion in water, ideal for more extreme water environments. This is often used for underwater lighting and similar applications.

Heavy Rain: Brick lights with an IP65 rating or above are capable of withstanding heavy rain and ensuring the proper functioning of the device. IP66 and IP67 ratings are particularly suited for heavy rain conditions.

Cold Environments: Most outdoor brick lights have a specified temperature range for operation, typically mentioned in the product manual. If the product supports lower operating temperatures, it can work in cold environments. However, in extremely cold temperatures, especially below freezing, some devices might experience performance degradation, or the battery may not function well. The IP rating itself does not directly indicate cold-weather suitability, so it's essential to check the temperature range provided by the manufacturer in the product specifications.
