Reading Lights

The most eye-friendly reading lights are those that offer adjustable brightness and color temperature, reduce glare, and minimize blue light exposure. Features to look for include:

• Warm light (around 2700K–3000K): Mimics natural light and reduces eye strain.

• Dimmable brightness: Allows you to adjust the intensity to your comfort level.

• Flicker-free and anti-glare design: Prevents eye fatigue during extended reading.

• Flexible positioning: Gooseneck or adjustable arms help direct light precisely.

• LED lights with high CRI (Color Rendering Index): Provide natural and clear lighting.

Reading lights should be positioned to the side or slightly behind your reading area, angled to avoid glare and shadows. For bedside use, place the light about 40–50cm above the mattress and direct it onto your book. Adjustable heads help focus the light exactly where needed, providing comfort and reducing eye strain.
